The new MSI GT640 is the companies first gaming notebook PC that runs on Core i7 platform. Touted to be the world’s most powerful gaming laptop, the GT640 comes jam packed with a 15.4-inch (LCD screen at 1680 x 1050-pixels resolutions, an Intel’s quad-core Core i7 1.6GHz 720QM processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 1GB dedicated video card, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive storage, and a built-in DVD burner or Blu-ray drive. As an additional features include stereo speakers, a 2MP web camera, HDMI and VGA outputs, 7.1-channel audio output, 802.11n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, a modem, two standard USB ports and an eSATA/USB combo port, an ExpressCard slot, and a 4-in-1 media card reader. The GT640 starts at 5.95 pounds and comes with a 6-cell or 9-cell 4,800mAh battery. It is pre-installed with Windows 7 operating system. Price and availability still unknown.
