iDOT taken an opportunity at Computex 2009 event in Taipei to unveils its own CCI MID (Mobile Internet Device). Using the familiar sliding form-factor, the CCI 3.8-inch 800 x 480 resistive touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard and runs either VIA’s 500MHz fanless Eden ULV CPU or an 800MHz Freescale MX51. For graphics, it is loads VIA VX875 Media System Processor and UniChrome Pro II IGP that will work together with 1GB of RAM. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 2.1 and a transflash card reader, plus there’s a 3.2-megapixel webcam and GPS. The Hualu UCG501 is a 5-inch (800×480) MID (Mobile Internet Device) that currently parading at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2009. Coming with an integrated GPS Chipset, the UCG501 also support CDMA2000 1X, Bluetooth connectivity, and promising to include high-performance integrated graphics card, mobile TV, high capacity” 4700 mAh battery, and a built-in optical mouse. Samsung has just announced its new NP-Q1EX UMPC that was ahow off at CES two months ago. Spec wise, the device packs a 7-inch WSVGA touch screen with 1024×600px resolution, a 1.2GHz VIA Nano ULV U2500 processor, VIA’s Chrome9 HC graphics, 2GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory, 60GB HDD, 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, 3.5mm audio jack, an embedded SiRF Star GPS receiver, and a microSD card slot. Other features include 4-cell 4,000mAh Li-Ion battery that claim to provides up to 4.5-hours of battery life and 1.3MP camera on the backside. No idea on release date, but the NP-Q1EX will retail for about $775.

Trimble has just announced its new Yuma rugged UMPC that meets Mil-Std-810F, IP68 standard (which means it is totally waterproof and dustproof) and is manufactured according to RoHS procedures, making it ideal for applications performed in critical environments such as military, aerospace and marine. Measures 9.0 x 5.5 x 2-inches and weighs 2.6 pounds, the Yuma case is made of high-quality aluminum alloy, plated with a hard-anodized finish. As an ultra-mobile PC, it is loads an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, 32GB SSD, dual integrated cameras, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, an ExpressCard slot and a SDIO card slot, and a 7-inch sunlight readable touchscreen display, two USB 2.0 ports, and a docking port, enables communicate via optional third-party cellular modems or a satellite phone. It doesn’t have an integrated keyboard as well as keypad but it is use touch or the stylus instead. No idea on pricing, but we have an idea that the Trimble Yuma should available on April 2009.
